Every corner was in full bloom last March 26, at the Henry Hotel Manila, as I found myself in an intimate gathering of friends and guests who appreciate the beauty of fine jewelry whatever the season may be.
More than adding sparkle, glamour, or tying an outfit together to create a complete and polished look, jewelry inevitably tells a story. This spring, Pandora tells one that’s all too familiar in the hearts of many as they incorporate elements that depict the magic of nature, new beginnings, change and metamorphosis, as well as love for our dear mothers, in time for Mother’s Day.
High tea and jewelry? Couldn’t think of an even better idea!
Pandora’s 2015 Spring Awakening Collection includes four sub-lines namely, Precious Primrose, Magic of Nature, New Beginnings, and Mother’s Day. It made great sense having the venue at a quaint hotel, not only because of the classic vibe it gave, but because it also accommodated all the activities that were in store for us that very interesting afternoon.
To give us a more immersive experience of what the new collection embodied, different rooms held activities that represented and housed each sub-line.
To my surprise, one room had a bed! It showcased the New Beginnings line, and the huge, comfy bed was essential in the Chakra-healing session conducted by Kimi Lu. Just like the sub-line’s butterfly charms, the session left its guests renewed, as if unraveling from a metamorphosis.
The Precious Primrose section was as dainty as its bouquet charms. The area was adorned with art installations created by famed French-Filipina artist Olivia D’aboville.
Meanwhile, the Magic of Nature room held Do-It-Yourself terrarium sessions that challenged the green-thumbs in all of us! The sub-line’s charms signify the wonder behind nature’s capacity of constantly bringing new life in various forms. From daisies, red crystalized apples, and dragonflies, these charms definitely spell magic to me!
The Mother’s Day line’s section was definitely the icing on top of the cake, as a pamper pod awaited us all. In partnership with Beauty and Butter, we were treated to what all ladies (especially the supermoms) need… A relaxing mani-pedi session. It really can’t be anymore perfect that Mother’s Day falls on Spring, since Mothers, like the season of rebirth, are bestowed with the gift of giving life.
Or in a more local context, rain or shine!
