The 7th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition has officially hit the Philippine shores once again, and has been transforming the night sky into an exquisite world-class art canvas.
Last weekend, I was fortunate enough to have caught the opening of the most-awaited Pyromusical competition in the Philippines. Kick-starting the festivities are performances from our very own Platinum Fireworks team, as well as Portugal’s Lusso Pirotecnia. Although technically Philippines isn’t participating in the competition proper, they showcased their skill and creativity with a crowd-pleasing opening exhibition. They will also perform a closing exhibition on the final day.
I personally have always been really excited whenever it’s Pyromusical season, which is at around Valentine’s season as well. I guess the organizers are only making it timely for the occasion since watching a
beautifully lit sky filled with spectacular fireworks and amazing music by the sea can surely be a romantic set-up.
Also, being into visuals and music at the same time, Pyromusicals are really my cup of tea. So I was particularly excited to find out that I’ll be covering the event for the blog! Yippee! Last year, this was one of our most memorable #MJDateventures date venues. We had patron tickets that entitle us to front row, middle seats and tables complete with a buffet catered dinner. Guests from the media had another area with dinner as well which was where I stayed this year, but I would have to say that the patron area’s food and setting is way fancier. I didn’t quite mind because I was too excited for the show, and our area had unlimited Magnum ice cream! Haha
Here are some photos from the evening:
The schedule of competition shows is every Saturday, starting February 13, to March 19, 2016. First firing usually starts at around 7:30 PM but I suggest you arrive at least an hour to 30 minutes before to make sure you’re completely settled before time stops and the shows begin. The venue is at Seaside Boulevard, near the Mall of Asia Ferris Wheel and literally by the sea. Tickets are priced at P100 up to P1,500 with dinner, and you can purchase tickets at SM Mall of Asia and SM ticket outlets.
Make sure to watch it with your loved ones for the remaining Saturday nights left! I’m sure it’ll be an amazing night you’ll get to cherish, and don’t forget to share photos from the night on your feeds! I mean how pretty are these curated fireworks of art?! Use the hashtags: #MOAPYRO2016 #FireworksByTheBay and most importantly, enjoy!
